Bhandirvan

Bhandirvan

According to Matsya Puran, the prayer mantra of Bhandiravan : Chaturddashavataranam Lilodbhavaswarupine. Nanadravyodbhavasthan Namo Bhandirsangyike. “O Bhandhirvan ! manifested from the pastimes of the 14 incarnations, the place of origin of many substances! I bow before you." According to the Skandh Puran, the prayer mantra of Bhandiravan : Manorthavarade Teerthe Asibhandahridavhaye. Namo Gopyajalalhade Teertharaj Namostu Te. “O bestower of the desired boon, the pilgrimage named Asibhand, O who enjoys the mysterious water of cowherds, salutations to you.” Bhandirvan, where Shri Krishn performed a variety of sweet pastimes, is prominent among the twelve forests. In this forest, there are many pastimes places to visit, such as Bhandirvat (the place of marriage of Shri Radha Krishn performed by Lord Brahma), Venukup (a well, created by Krishn with his flute to purify himself from the sin of killing a demon named Vatsasur, who had come in the form of a cow), Vamshivat (the place of Maharaas pastimes), the place of wrestling, the temple of Shridama (Krishn's friend), Shyam-Talaiya (a pond, created by Krishn with his flute to quench the thirst of Gopis), Chaaheri gaon (the place where Krishn along with his friends use to come to rest under the trees), and Agiyara gaon. That place where all kinds of Tattva-Gyan (Knowledge of Supreme Personality) fully manifest and where pastimes filled with opulence (Aishwary) and sweetness (Madhury) manifest is called Bhandirvan.
