(Raag Nat)
Radhe Tu Dadhisut Kyon Na Duraave.
Sun Sundar Vrishbhanu Nandani Kaaheko Man Tarsaavai. [1]
Sarang Duhkhi Hot Sarang Bin Tohi Daya Nahin Aave.
Jalasut Duhkhi Duhkhi Ve Madhukar Dvayapanchhi Duhkhi Paavai. [2]
Sarang Ripu Ki Nenk Ot Kar Jo Sarang Sachupaavai.
Surdas Sarang Ke Dhokhe Sarang Kulahi Lajaave. [3]
- Shri Surdas, Sur Sagar
O Radha, Your Face is like the moon - why do you not hide it? Listen, O, the charming daughter of Sri Vrishabhanu Ji, by keeping it exposed You are causing torment to so many creatures! [1]
The deer suffers even though there is no hunter's arrow to give it pain; Please have some compassion! The lotus is sad, along with the bee shut inside it, and so are the Khanjan and the Chakora birds. [2]
Please cover up the light of Your countenance so that the moon may become happy again. Shri Surdas says "O, lovely Moon-faced Sri Radhaju, why put them all to shame"? [3]
