Hiyke Lochan Gadi Roopki Chatak Vikat Hai.
Ha Radha-Radha-Radha Yah Lagi Rahi Rat Hai. [1]
Kahan-Kahan Vrishbhanunandini Aha Gayi Kit.
Hiye Lalak Mukh Balak Chhabili Chhata Gadi Chit. [2]
Tharharat Ang Vyakul Adhik Bauraan Prem Puni-Puni Badhi.
Bali Balit Kunvari Gaurang Ho Hita Roop Tumhare Chit Chadhi. [3]
- Shri Vrindavan Das Chacha Ji
Once, Shri Rooplal Ji and Chacha Hit Vrindavan Das Ji participated in a festival in Barsana. After the festival concluded, Shri Hitroopalal Ji became absorbed in the thoughts of Shri Vrishbhanu Nandini (Shri Radha) while holding onto a creeper in a kunj (grove) in Barsana. Chacha Hit Vrindavan Das Ji beautifully describes the state of Shri Hitroopalal Ji (i.e. of a true Rasika devotee) in the following way:
Shri Hit Roop Lal Ji’s inner eyes are intently focused on Shri Radha’s form, which is so intense that it is beyond comprehension. Incessantly, he chants “Ha Radha, Radha, Radha” with deep love. [1]
He cries out, “Where has Vrishbhanu Nandini gone now? Where have you disappeared?” His heart is full of longing, and his face reflects this yearning, while his mind is deeply absorbed in the beautiful form of Chabili Shri Radha. [2]
His body trembles with ecstasy, and his restlessness grows, as love repeatedly intensifies. Chacha Hita Vrindavan Das says, “I repeatedly sacrifice myself upon such ever-youthful Shri Radha, who shines with a golden radiance, and whose contemplation wholly immerses Shri Hitaroop Lal Ji.” [3]
