- Shri Bhagwat Rasik, Bhagwat Rasik Ki Vani, Ananyarasikabharan Granth (12.7)

This divine ‘Rasa Reeti’ (mode of love) of the divine couple, Priya-Pritam—known as Nitya Vihar Rasa—is like raindrops from the dark Swati star. Just as that rain, when it reaches different receptacles, transforms accordingly
— camphor in the banana tree, pollen in the lotus, life-force in the papihā bird, and a pearl in the oyster—so too does this pure rasa transform according to the heart (pātra) it touches.

When this rasa is received, the worldly-minded (viṣayī) perceives it as sensuality, the spiritual intellectual (jñānī) sees it as knowledge, the devotee (bhakta) experiences devotion, and the rasika, the true connoisseur, drowns completely in divine love. Shri Bhagavatrāsika Ji explains that the seed of all bliss in the universe lies in the eternal play (nitya-vihār) of the divine couple, Shyama Kunja Bihari. The diversity of experiences arises not from the seed, but from the soil—that is, the preparedness and receptivity of each heart. Therefore, to truly partake in Nitya Vihar Rasa, one must become a rasika.
