(Raag Shuddh Kalyan)
Prabhu Ke Do Hi Daas Hain Sanche.
Nemi Hoya Chahi Ho Premi, Hoya Na Manake Kanche.
Pratham Bhakti Premi Jan Pavat, Duje Nemi Ranche. [1]
Prem Bhaav Lakhi Brajagopinako, Tinake Sang Prabhu Nanche.
Rupakunvari Yah Satya Jaan Lo, Hari Sanche Ko Sanche. [2]
- Shri Roop Kunvari Ji
There are only two kinds of true servants of the Lord in this world: those who steadfastly follow the path of sacred discipline (nemī), and those who are completely absorbed in exclusive divine love (premī). Whether one is a nemī or a premī, one quality is common to both—their minds are never immature or unsteady. Their faith remains firm, and they clearly understand the temporary and selfish nature of this material world. The highest form of loving devotion is attained by the premī devotees, and after them by the nemī devotees. [1]
It was only after beholding the pure and selfless love of the gopīs of Braja that the Lord danced with them. Śrī Rūpakuṁvarī Jī says, “Know this truth well—you cannot deceive Śrī Hari, for He looks only at your heart. If your mind remains attached to the world, filled with attachment and aversion toward others, while you merely display your devotion outwardly, such devotion can never please Him. He always belongs only to those devotees who are sincere and free from all hypocrisy.” [2]
