Shri Radha Tila - Vrindavan

Shri Radha Tila - Vrindavan

Pastimes :
Shri Radha Tila is the bhajan site of Shri Banke Biharidas Ji, a Rasik devotee of the Haridasi sect.
250 years ago, Shri Banke Biharidas Ji, who used to reside in Vrindavan, performed bhajan on a mound here. This place was surrounded by dense trees and vines, there was sand all over the ground and Shri Yamuna Ji was flowing from nearby. The luster of this place was very beautiful. Shri Banke Biharidas Ji used to serve his divine couple Shri Radha Krishn. One day He forgot to offer food to Shri Radha Krishn and fell asleep. The atmosphere was completely calm, no one was there far and wide. That night a 10-year-old girl came to that place. The girl came to Shri Banke Biharidas Ji and said that "Baba, I am hungry." Hearing this melodious voice, Shri Banke Biharidas Ji woke up from sleep and was surprised to see the 10-year-old girl, and thought that how and from where did this little girl come in the middle of the night in this dense place. Shri Banke Biharidas Ji fed the little girl and gave Yamuna water to drink. That little girl went away from there. Shri Banke Biharidas Ji fell asleep again. In his sleep, he had a dream and he saw that Shri Radharani appeared in front of Him. Shri Radharani said "Baba, look, I have saved you from breaking your rule. You offer me food regularly and afterward you take that as prasad. But today you forgot to offer food to me but your Radha herself came to you to get food and did not let your rule be broken. I ate food from your hands and drank Yamuna water." After this Shri Radharani disappeared. Shri Banke Biharidas Ji woke up from sleep and started drowning in bliss by such a wonderful grace of Shri Radharani. He realized that Shri Radharani resides at this place. Now Shri Banke Biharidas Ji started doing his devotional practices very firmly. While worshiping the divine couple Shri Radha Krishn, Shri Banke Biharidas Ji left his body and entered the divine realm of Vrindavan. Shri Radharani herself had arrived at this place, hence the name of this place was Radha Tila. Even today many birds, peacocks, and parrots come to this mound to eat grains.
