The youthful princess Śrī Rādhā, whose beautiful eyes resemble those of a doe, is exquisitely adorned beside Her ever-youthful lover, Śrī Kṛṣṇa. The dark collyrium beautifying Her large eyes and Her enchanting, side-long glance have forever enshrined themselves in my heart.
All glories to Śrī Yamunā Jī, the giver of all happiness! O Mother Yamunā, You are supremely merciful, the very embodiment of compassion, the source of all auspiciousness, and the remover of all misfortune.
My heart has become completely devoted to those supremely playful Śyāmā-Śyāma, Śrī Rādhā-Kṛṣṇa. The night has passed, dawn has arisen, and the rays of the sun have spread their light in every direction.
O Kiśorī Śrī Rādhe, whatever I may be — good or bad — I belong to You alone. I am restless day and night in the agony of your separation; kindly hear my call without delay.
Nandalāla, Śrī Kṛṣṇa, Himself adorns His beloved Śrī Rādhā. Repeatedly, with His own hands, He knots garlands of pearls and gently arranges Her earrings and flowing locks.
O Śrī Kṛṣṇa, crowned with a peacock feather, kindly bless me with Your divine darśana. The elegant scarf tied around Your waist looks supremely charming, while Your yellow garments sway gently in the breeze, spreading a captivating beauty. [1]
Both the Beloveds have become utterly absorbed in the nectar of Holī. Placing their arms around each other’s necks, the youthful Lord and His Darling Rādhā appear bound together by the unbreakable thread of divine love.
O Śyāmasundara, come a little closer so I may sprinkle colors upon You. I will anoint your face with abīra (scented powders) and red gulāla, and give your cheeks a playful, loving tap.
When Śrī Rādhikā steps out upon the high terrace and bestows Her darśan, gently moving aside Her dark locks to unveil Her face, it seems like the full moon rising from behind a veil of clouds.
O Śrī Krishna! The honor and protection of Braj rest in Your hands. Even the moon and the sun meditate upon You, and the countless stars gaze endlessly at Your divine form.
In Vraj Dham, the most beautiful place is Barsana Dham, for it is the divine abode of Shri Radharani Herself. Even Shri Krishna personally comes to welcome Her there, and such is its glory that even the Vedas cannot fully describe it.
O one who resides in Barsana, Shri Radha, listen! Banwari Shri Krishna is truly Your servant. To the jingling of Your anklets, He plays His flute and dances in rhythm.
If you truly desire the nectar of divine love, then remain steadfast at Her doorway. If you are indeed a true rasika (one who relishes divine love), then endure all hardships and afflictions with patience, for the reward (of rasa) is unparalleled.
A gopi says - Come forward, O dark Shyamsundar! Let me rub colors on you and apply color to your forehead and cheeks.
O sakhi, I shall go to Govardhan, for my restless heart finds peace nowhere else. With love, I will prepare an abundance of food, offer it as bhog, and invite saints to partake, as my heart is not satisfied otherwise.
The constant chanting of Sri Radha’s name is the very breath of my life. Sri Radha resides in my eyelids and hair, and I have filled the parting of my hair with Shri Radha’s name.
Today, I gazed upon the divine beauty of Shri Radharaman. His head was adorned with a peacock feather crown and his ears were embellished with beautiful earrings. The sight was truly incomparable.
O Krishna, you sprayed colors into my eyes with a water gun and even teased me. I no longer wish to partake in Holi festivities with you.
O Sakhi, I will go and play Holi with Shyamasundara as it's a time of great fortune that this auspicious festival of Holi has arrived.
