Śrī Vṛṣabhānu-dulārī Śrī Rādhā, accompanied by Her sakhīs led by Lalitā, has arrived in a beautiful flower garden with immense joy. This lovely garden, adorned with a variety of blossoms such as mālatī, kunda, nivārī, and roses, is scattering its sweet fragrance in all directions.
In the courtyard of Svāmī Śrī Haridāsa Jī, the incarnation of Lalitā Sakhī—that is, in the sacred realm of Śrī Nidhivana, auspicious songs of celebration resound, showering bliss in every direction.
A spiritual aspirant should constantly chant the holy name of his most beloved Mahāprabhu, Śrī Vallabha, and continually sing His supremely sacred glories. He should become completely immersed in the divine nectar of grace (Puṣṭi-mārga) and walk steadfastly upon this supremely sacred path revealed by Him.
Even Lord Śeṣa, Lord Śiva, the Sun god, Lord Gaṇeśa, and the Vedas themselves cannot fully comprehend His limitless glories.
O Svāminī Jī! You already know the true condition of my mind, for no spiritual endeavor or penance can ever be accomplished through the strength of my physical body. I truly do not comprehend by what immense strength of Your causeless mercy, I have been blessed with the sacred path of Śrī Harivaṁśa Mahāprabhu, the supreme ācārya of rasopāsanā.
The Vedas grew weary trying to describe that Supreme Lord (Śrī Kṛṣṇa); philosophers and scriptures too became exhausted, singing of His glories day and night. Śeṣa, Śiva, and Indra searched for Him in countless ways, yet could not fully comprehend His true extent.
O sakhī! Did you behold the astonishing and charming pastimes of Priyā-Priyatama today? My words are insufficient to describe such a delightful sight. Our beloved Śrī Rādhā adorned Her head with a peacock feather, held a flute and cowherd’s staff in Her hands, and wore a yellow garment around Her waist. Thus, She assumed the appearance of Śrī Kṛṣṇa.
A sakhī, describing the captivating beauty of Śrī Kṛṣṇa to her intimate companion, says: O sakhī! The effect of Mohana’s supremely sweet and divine glance cannot be expressed in mere words. That glance has penetrated so deeply into my heart that, however much I try to remove it, it simply will not leave.
This divine forest (Śrī Vṛndāvana, or Barsānā Dhāma) alone is my ultimate refuge. It is my master, my mother, my father, and my dearest companion. May I dwell forever within this sacred grove in complete fearlessness, and may my mind never wander away from it toward any other place.
O beloved friend! An intense thirst for union with You has awakened within my heart. Please come quickly and satisfy me by granting me the divine nectar of Your lips.
A sakhī, teasing and lovingly persuading Śrī Rādhā, says: “O sakhī! You know very well that the limbs of Gopāla, Śrī Kṛṣṇa, are as tender as lotus petals. I bow to You in affection — do You not realize that even the slightest trace of Your displeasure causes Śrī Kṛṣṇa to wither away in sorrow?”
O brother, this is an undeniable truth that in both this world and the other world, no real relationship can exist without pure love. All worldly ties, such as those of mother, father, son, and brother, are fundamentally based upon self-interest. The fragrance of true selfless love is impossible to find here; therefore, only the ignorant beings become entangled in such relationships.
While sitting, rising, or speaking, only that alone is being spoken. While waking, sleeping, or beholding the world, true vision is to see only the One everywhere.
O Lalite, by your grace, such fortune has arisen — before our very eyes has appeared a supremely beautiful vision of the divine couple.
O Rādhike, why do You hold on to this gentle sulk without reason? Please listen for a moment to the sweet, nectar-like words of Your beloved.
Śrī Śyāmasundara lovingly applies mahāvara to the lotus feet of His beloved Śrī Rādhā.
O ever-fresh, youthful Skillful Queen, Śrī Rādhā! Kindly hear my plea and think about this humble soul.
Tāj Bībī describes that in this painful state of separation from Śrī Kṛṣṇa, neither does the mind find any rest, nor do these tear-filled eyes find peace without shedding tears.
If one has not wholeheartedly worshipped the sacred dust of Śrī Rādhā’s lotus feet, nor taken refuge in the holy dust of Śrī Vṛndāvana marked by Her divine footprints, and has not been blessed with the association of the rasikas of Vṛndāvana absorbed in the rasa of Śrī Rādhā, then it is utterly impossible for such a person to immerse in the ocean of rasa that is Śrī Kṛṣṇa.
A Virahiṇī (gopī) says: ever since I have been separated from Śrī Kṛṣṇa, my body is washed daily by a stream of tears.
