Shri Hanuman Prasad Poddar (Bhai Ji) was born in Ratangarh, Rajasthan. Later, his residence became Gorakhpur. He was the trustee of Geeta Press and the editor of the religious magazine 'Kalyan'. The collection of padas and Dohas written by Bhai Ji is known by the Granth 'Pad Ratnakar'.
