Those who are always filled with compassion and righteousness, who speak words as sweet as nectar, and who keep their eyes humbly cast downward in humility, are truly noble and great. Such persons alone should be regarded as genuinely exalted.
From the moment I surrendered to Śrī Hari, I have been unburdened, freed from a massive load by casting off the heavy pile of my sins.
This world is filled with many false gurus and fakirs who, by merely adopting outward appearances, trap people in their deception. One must clearly understand that no one becomes a saint by outward dress. Until a person conquers the restless mind within, he can never truly become a saint.
The sole support for crossing this ocean of material existence is the sacred Name of Lord Śrī Hari. O foolish, deluded mind, how effortlessly you have let it slip from remembrance.
One who worships the Lord continuously with a devoted heart and never lets the mind wander away from Śrī Hari, even for a single moment, always remains immersed in the nectar of Hari’s rasa. Śrī Malūk Dās says—this alone is true devotion.
Even if one undertakes pilgrimages to Mecca, Medina, Dwarka, Badrinath, Kedarnath, or any sacred land, it bears no fruit if the heart is devoid of compassion.
Only that son is truly blessed and virtuous who engages His mind fully in devotion. Through such devotion, he transcends old age and death, attaining an eternal, immortal state.
May the divine couple, dark-complexioned Shri Krishna, the charming groom, and radiant Shri Radha, the graceful bride, remain ever-eternal. This is our heartfelt blessing.
The python doesn’t serve anyone, and birds do no labor. Saint Malukadas says, “The Lord provides for all.”
Everyone desires lordship, but none desires the Lord Himself. If one surrenders to the Lord, then even lordship becomes a servant.
Even with a loincloth tied in seven knots, he roams fearlessly, perpetually immersed in the nectar of Shri Hari’s divine name. For such a great soul, even Indra, the ruler of heaven, seems no more than a beggar.
Shri Maluk Das Ji says, “Pilgrimages hold great significance, their glory well-known—I do not deny. But, in the heart of one who worships Lord Hari with devotion, the holiness of countless sacred sites naturally resides.”
I have abandoned all rituals, such as Sandhya and Tarpan, and no longer seek pilgrimages, for I have realized that Shri Hari Himself resides within my heart. Now, I am solely absorbed in His loving devotion with a focused mind.
Sri Maluk Das says that ever since he sought refuge in Sri Hari, he sleeps peacefully, meaning he becomes completely carefree and free from all his doubts and worries.
Remember God in such a way that no one is aware of your devotion. Let your lips not move, and keep the love concealed within, for it grows stronger day by day in secrecy.
If love resides within you, you will never speak of it aloud. The Lord, being omniscient, already knows the innermost feelings of your heart, so there is no need to tell anyone.
What benefit is there for those who disguise themselves as saints while their minds remain entangled in worldly matters? However, if the mind is immersed in the love of God, then one has truly conquered Shri Hari.
Wherever a calf wanders, the cow follows its path. Shri Maluk Das states that likewise, wherever saints go, God follows their footsteps.
Neither do I whirl a rosary, nor do I chant the name of God for a specific number, nor do I ever take the name with my tongue. I have attained ultimate peace (by surrendering myself to Shri Hari); now Shri Hari Himself remembers me.
Ever since hearing of Your merciful nature, I have surrendered myself to You.
