"Nem Battisi," authored by Shri Hit Damodar Das after his arrival in Vrindavan in 1630 AD, outlines 32 rules, in the form of verses, prohibiting leaving Vrindavan. The rules were written considering the raja, creepers and Yamuna of Vrindavan serving as witnesses.

Śrī Dāmodara Dāsa says, “If, overcome by the craving for material wealth, I ever turn my back upon Śrī Dhāma Vṛndāvana and depart for some other place, then I deserve to gouge out my own eyes.”
If I should ever leave Śrī Vṛndāvana Dhāma and go to any other place, then I firmly declare that you must never call me by the name Dāmodara, considering me a fallen soul who has strayed from this exclusive devotion. Indeed, my very existence, identity, and life are completely bound to Śrī Vṛndāvana alone.
Whether one has garments to wear or blankets for warmth, whether one is given rich food, simple fare, or nothing at all, and whatever joys or sorrows may arise, in whatever condition life unfolds, to reside always in Śrī Vṛndāvan alone is life’s highest fulfillment and truest perfection.
My hope rests only upon the residents of Vrindavan, and I surrender myself into their hands. Now I will never leave Shri Dham Vrindavan and go anywhere else.
Even if I sleep on the bare ground, drink only water, and survive on the thinnest morsels of food, still, I will never, ever leave Shri Vrindavan and go elsewhere.
Some may call me lustful, others wrathful, and some may label me greedy—let them say what they wish. But I shall never leave Shri Vrindavan, no matter how much anyone may criticize me.1090076333153612
I will cast aside all hesitation and shame, embracing every hardship that comes my way. But I will never leave Vrindavan and go anywhere else.
Even if I am granted endless stores of food, boundless wealth, or golden palaces elsewhere, I shall never forsake Shri Vrindavan to go anywhere else.
If I speak, I will speak only the truth; otherwise, I will remain silent. I will not criticize anyone. With this firm resolve, I vow to always reside in Vrindavan.
O mind! Detach yourself from the bonds of home and family, and let go of the desire for service from your attendants. My unwavering vow is to remain forever in the holy land of Shri Dham Vrindavan, never to reside elsewhere.
Even if someone beats me or tries to save me, rejecting all, I will continue to sing the glories of Vrindavan. My determination stands firm — I will never leave Sri Vrindavan Dham.
May I roam freely, gazing upon the various enchanting groves of Vrindavan, and immerse myself in the sacred waters of the Yamuna River. My determination stands firm — I will never leave Sri Vrindavan Dham.
Shri Vrindavan Dham is the abode of eternal happiness, where bliss permeates every corner. May I never leave the divine presence of Shri Radha Vallabh Lal, whose magnificence graces the splendid realms of Shri Vrindavan Dham.
Even if my head were to be severed, engulfed in flames, or submerged in water, or compelled to consume poison, yet I vow never to abandon the sacred realm of Shri Dham Vrindavan.
While others might label me as lustful, angry, or greedy, my determination stands firm — I will not leave Sri Vrindavan Dham at any cost.
