Śrī Nārāyaṇa Bhaṭṭa Gosvāmī, a 16th-century scholar from Madurai, Tamilnadu was a disciple of Śrī Krishna Dāsa Brahmacārī in the Sri Gadādhara Paṇḍit tradition. Renowned as the Vrajācārya, he rediscovered over 300 sacred sites across Braj and compiled the Vraja Bhakti Vilāsa (1552 AD), a key text documenting Braj’s spiritual geography. His efforts established the Caurāsi-Koś Parikrama and promoted Rasa-līlā performances in the local vernacular.
