Peeli pokhar (yellowish pond) is located in Barsana, also called as Priya Kund. Shree jee (Radha Rani) was often visiting here. This is Shree jee's pond. One divine pastime is concerned with this, swami Haridas has sung in this regard. His devotional song is that Shree Ji was going to bathe in this pond and Nandlaal(Krishn) comes from other side. Meanwhile Nandlaal asks pointing at Radha whose daughter is she, what is her name? She is coming in very royal style. In listening to this, Lalita comes forward and suggests Radha not to reply his question. I''ll answer only. His treatment is with me only. Lalita told that only crazy people live in Nandgaon(Braj). Oh crazy one! you go back to your village. Now Shyamsundar became silent, as she told very harsh. Now what more he could ask as he got very harsh reply to such single question only. Now he doesn't have courage to ask second more question. All sakhees(female companions) again engaged in playing. Now Radha Rani wishes to bestow her divine love and grace as she could feel shyamsundar faced big injustice. He just asked in a well manner that whose daughter is she and however she (Lalita) replies that oh crazy ! you go back to your village. Meanwhile, as sakhees(female friends) started playing, shree ji (Radha) told them to play themselves, she'll go bathing there. In the mean time shyamsundar too got an opportunity, he has come from so far. Shyamsundar also cleverer than the clevers and by the time Shree ji (Radha) took a dip in water suddenly shyamsundar coming inside the water gave a hug to her , and she got shocked. This is very beautiful pastime happened here.
One more pastime is associated with this place is that Radha Rani washed her yellowish hand drenched in turmeric and thus this place was named as Peeli pokhar (yellowish pond).
