Shri Roop Goswami was staying at Vrindavan. Once Sri Roop Goswami finished the book “Lalit Madhava”, and he visited Radha Kunda, where Raghunath Das Ji used to stay. Roop Goswami had given Lalita Madhava to Raghunath Das. This book describes the intense feelings of love in separation. After reading the book, Raghunath Das cried day and night in agitation and went mad in distress. Sometimes he went far off to stay, leaving the book, and sometimes he fell to the ground keeping the book to his chest. People who saw the various states of Raghunath Das's ecstasy as he lost his consciousness and had them worried and wonder. Thinking of a cure for Raghunath Das's condition, Roop Goswami quickly finished writing "Dan-Keli-Kaumudi" then Shri Roop gave Raghunath Das the new book and requested him to taste its contents and return Lalita Madhava for editing. Although Raghunath Das was reluctant to give up Lalita Madhava, when he heard that Roop wanted to edit it, he then relented. Taking and reading Dan-Keli-Kaumudi, he tasted different ecstasies and thus merged in an ocean of happiness.
