yā dohane’vahanane mathanopalepapre
ṅkheṅkhanārbha-ruditokṣaṇa-mārjanādau |
gāyanti cainam-anuraktadhiyo’śrukaṇṭhyo
dhanyā vrajastriya urukrama-cittayānā : ||

Those vraja-women are really blessed, who, being ever absorbed in love for Sri Krishna, always sing about Him, with throat choked with tears, with their minds fixed on the Lord, while they are involved in various activities like milking, dehusking, churning, smearing the floor, rocking the cradles of children and consoling the crying babies, sprinkling water on plants and sweeping.
