When Lord Shiva went to have a glimpse of Lala (Shri Krishn) in Nand Bhawan, Yashoda Maiya denied saying our Lala is very small and would be scared of your fearful form. Mahadev Ji disappointed and came here and sat down with a desire ('aas') to see Shri Krishn. Since Lord Mahadev desires to see Shri Krishn here, so He is called 'Aaseshwar' Mahadev.
As soon as Mahadev ji went away, Lala started crying loudly. Mother Yashoda did all the tricks but she failed. Everyone said that there is a Baba sitting there. On the forehead of Baba, there is a 'moon' and He is holding 'Ganga' on his head. Maybe He can only cure Lala now. Then Yashoda ji called him again, Shiv Ji came again and in front of Shyam Sundar, Shivji started chanting "Radha".
As soon as Lord Krishn heard him singing Radha's name, He cried loudly. Mother asked why Lala is crying, Mother did not understand but Lord Shiva realized, the reason He is crying now is because of Radha's name i.e His intense desire to meet Shri Radha. Mother said, Yogi, Please do something and asked him to put your hand on his head and give him the blessing. Then Lord Shiva immediately put his hand on his head, and Shri Krishn finally stopped crying. Afterwards, Lord Shiva sang names of Shri Radha to Shri Krishn (Namavali). Here is a beautiful lake which is called Aaseshwar Sarovar.
