Some people speak constantly of nitya-vihāra, yet their hearts remain entangled in worldly conduct and various forms of devotion. Śrī Bihārin Deva Jī says, “Only by serving within the personal palace — that is, by abiding in the mood of a maidservant and rendering intimate service to Priyājī in the Nikunja — does the true form of nitya-vihāra manifest within the heart; mere empty talk yields nothing at all.”
