In this verse, Swami Shri Haridas Ji Maharaj highlights how people tend to prioritize their attachment to the material world over their devotion to Shri Bihariji Maharaj, who represents divine love and mercy.
He says, “Look, how false their love towards Shri Bihariji (God) is!” Instead of devoting themselves to Bihariji, which is the true purpose of their existence, they get entangled in the false affairs of this material world and waste their rare and precious human life, even though the material world is impermanent.” [1]
They are unaware that when the messengers of death (Yamadutas) come to take them, they will be powerless. The Yamadutas will drag them away against their will, no matter how much they resist. Swami Haridas Ji warns the soul, “O jeev! Devote yourself solely to Shri Kunj Bihari. Only through this devotion can you experience eternal joy and taste the nectar of true bliss.” [2]
