- Shri Surdas Ji

O, Sri Radhe, are these Your eyes or highway robbers? Seeing them, forest deer are enchanted, what to speak of mere people? When You apply collyrium to them You steal away Sri Krishna's mind;-the khanjan bird and the fish feel shy in front of them. You slay those on Whom You cast Your arrow-like glances;-seeing them He spins round
like one intoxicated. Sri Krishna has given up to you all His incomparable beauty. The poet Surdasji now states "In order to catch a glance of You Sri Krishna dances like a madman!!"
