Śrī Harirāma Vyāsa Jī says that those who call themselves exclusive rasikas — devoted solely to Śrī Rādhā-Kṛṣṇa — yet continue to worship other deities such as the Navagrahas or Gaṇeśa for worldly gain, have their exclusivity broken. Vyāsa Jī questions: why would the messengers of Yama not enter the homes of such people? In other words, without complete surrender and single-minded devotion, the soul cannot be freed from the cycle of birth and death or from the punishments of Yama.
