Vyaakul birah bihaar binu, nakh sikh lobhee leen.
Shribiharini das ang sithilee, swasani ginat adheen
- Shri Biharin Dev Ji, Shri Biharin Dev Ji Ki Vani, Siddhant Ki Saakhi (136)
O sakhī! Śrī Lāla Jī, the crest-jewel of all Rasikas, is so intensely greedy from head to toe for this nectar of rasa-vihāra that He remains entirely submissive to Śrī Rādhā. If even a slight interruption occurs in their divine love-plays, He becomes deeply distressed. His divine limbs grow so faint and limp that all of us companions (sahacarīs) begin counting His breaths. This makes it absolutely certain that the very essence of Lāla Jī’s life is none other than our life-breath, Śrī Pyārījū, and He eternally remains in the servitude of Śrī Rādhārāṇī.
