Gyan Gudari, Vrindavan

Gyan Gudari, Vrindavan

This place is called Gyan Gudari, and many pastimes have happened here.
The First pastimes happened here is "Shri Narad Ji's conversation with Bakti Devi" which is mentioned in SrimadBhagwatam. Shri Bhakti Devi came from South India and was suffering from old age, she went everywhere but can't get the cure, and when she arrived at this place of Gyan Gudari in Vrindavan, she got her ever-youthful form. Shri Bhakti Devi is dancing in this dust.
The Braj Gopis always resides here with the pain of separation from Shri Krishna in their hearts. Shri Uddhav Ji had come here to give the Knowledge of Brahm, self to the gopis to relieve from their pain and attain salvation. But by experiencing the knowledge of pure love from gopis, Uddhav Ji's knowledge of Brahm washed away. Gopi's turned the knowledge (Gyan) of Brahm of Uddhav Ji into a Gudari or a doll (made of a cloth), so that's why this place is known as Gyan Gudri.
Once Lord Jagannath of Jagannath Puri, Orissa came here and did parikrama (circumambulation) of this place. And on the same auspicious day every year, all the Deities of Vrindavan come here in the form of Lord Jagannath and do parikrama (circumambulation) of this place.
The Raj (dust) of here is of special importance. The king of all pilgrimage places, Tirth Raj Prayag come here daily and bath in the dust to atone for all the sins.
Once Shri Tulsidas Ji came here and made Lord Krishna appear in the form of Lord Rama. The place of this pastime is known as Tulsi Ram Darshan Sthal.
There is a temple known as Panchamukhi Hanuman Temple, where Shri Hanuman Ji resides with his 5 faces.
