The scholars have called the eighty four kosa land that is to the east of Varhishada ( Barahada), to the south of Yadupur (Bateishwar, the village of Shoorsein) and to the west of Shonitapur (Sonhada) 'Braj 'or 'Mathura Mandal'. Thus all have accepted the area falling within the borders of Bara, Bateishwar and Sonhada as Braj.
