Biography of Shri Lalit Kishori Dev Ji - Rasik Saint of Vrindavan

Birth and childhood:
Shri Lalit Kishoridev Ji was born in 1733, in a Brahmin clan in Bhadavar state. His parents named him Gangadhar.

Spiritual life:
Shri  Lalit Kishoridev Ji became disinterested in the worldly matters in his youth. While visiting the pilgrimage, He came to Vrindavan and became a disciple of Shri Rasikdev Ji who resided on Shri Rasik Bihari Temple at that time. His guru gave him the name 'Lalitkishori'.
In Vrindavan, he stayed with Shri Rasikdev Ji for some days in his service. Except for Karuva (earthen pot), 'Kaupin', and 'Kantha', He did not keep anything else with him. He used to get food from alms. He was absorbed in Shri Radha Krishn’s Nitya Vihar nectar day and night. He did not even accept becoming the abbot of the throne of Shri Rasik Bihari Temple due to his sacrificial instinct. The picturesque place he used to live on the banks of Yamuna, surrounded by trees, surrounded it with bamboo (Tatiya) springs. Since then It became famous as 'Tatiya Sthan'. Later, this place took the form of a monastery in the Haridasi sect. He lived in Vrindavan throughout His life after coming here, and His samadhi is also located at Tatiya Sthan, Vrindavan. His couplets reveal the pure dedication and exclusive devotion unto the lotus feet of Shri Radharani, that's why many devotees of the sect consider Him to be the incarnation of Shri Haridas as well.
