To take shelter from the rain, Śrī Priyā and Priyatama stand beneath the dense nikunja groves, where even Kāmadeva himself serves to increase the bliss of Their loving pastimes. When shall these eyes behold that divie couple, Śrī Rādhā and Śrī Kṛṣṇa, standing embraced in one another’s arms as They are gently drenched by the falling rain?

While singing this verse, Śrī Bhaṭṭa Devācārya Jī became absorbed in the following divine contemplation: “When shall I behold the beautiful rainclouds gathering in the sky, with the gentle rain falling all around? Śrī Lāḍilī Jī’s deep-blue veil and Lāl Jī’s upper garment (pitāmbara) are becoming drenched, while the divine Couple stand together beneath a creeper within a secluded nikunja. Alas! I have made no arrangement to protect Them from the rain.” As Śrī Bhaṭṭa Devācārya Jī remained absorbed in this loving thought, the clouds immediately gathered, a gentle shower began to fall, and a divine nikunja manifested before him.
