Even if one donates gold equal in size to the Sumeru mountain, or precious gems, elephants, food, land, etc. [1]

Even if one donates diamonds by weighing them properly, takes bath in the holy Prayāg dhāma, or gives large donations in Kāśī for the purification of the heart on the occasion of a solar eclipse, [2]

Even if one donates śayyā (beds), kanyādāna (giving one’s daughter in marriage), or donates cows in Kurukṣetra on a beautiful occasion, still, after giving all of this, one can never be freed from sins. [3]

Śrī Hita Dhruvdās says that chanting the name of Kṛṣṇa Keśarī (Lord Kṛṣṇa who wears yellow garments), even once, is higher than all those donations put together, and has such immense potency that it can deliver all the sinners of the three worlds in a single moment and free them from the vicious cycle of birth and death.
