Gopis say to Uddhav, “O Udhhav! the results of Karmas are incomprehensible”. 
All the rivers on the earth are pouring their sweet water into the ocean, yet the ocean is saline. [1]

God has made heron white, while the melodious cuckoo is black. 
A deer with beautiful eyes rambles here and there in the forest. [2]

Most foolish people are ruling and Pandits [learned] are leading their lives by begging. 
Sri Surdas says that every moment is intolerable for the gopis in the hope of meeting Shri Krishn [meaning: God has given unbearable pain of separation to His exclusive devotees like Gopis]. [3]
