What is my purpose with Vaikunth [What will I do there] where there is no Vanshivat, No Yamuna, no Govardhan and no cows of Nand. [1]
How can I relish living in that place where there are no groves made up of vines, no trees like here, where there is no gentle and fragrant breeze, where there are no sounds of cuckoos, swans, and peacocks [unlike Braj]. [2]
Where Lord Krishn never plays sweet melodies through His nectarine flute on his lips, where there are no symptoms of ecstatic emotions of divine love, such as horripilation, thrilling etc. Renouncing this nectar, There is not even a single desire to reach there ['Vaikuntha'] through mind, thoughts, and actions. [3]
Where there is no land of Vrindavan, where there is no Nand and Yashoda, where there is no Lord Krishna, ignoring this land of Braj, may only my calamities reside in Vaikunth; but I will never leave Braj, says Shri Govind Das. [4]
