Purab Punyani Te Chiti Jin - Shri Raskhan

(Sawaiya)

- Shri Raskhan

Those Gopīs who were fortunate enough to see Lord Kṛṣṇa due to the merits of their past lives had a unique smile blossom in their eyes. Some became still like puppets, some stood motionless like trees, while others fainted and fell to the ground right there on the path.[1]

Those Gopīs who remained in their homes, says Raskhān, became restless with an intense longing to see Lord Kṛṣṇa. People say that Nandalāl (Kṛṣṇa) made their life miserable; Raskhān says, not miserable, but blissful.[2]
