Radha Bavdi - Vrindavan

Shri Radha Bavdi is also called Shri Bhagwat Rasik Dev Ji's Bavdi. Bavdi means stepwell. The great saint of the tradition of Swami Haridas Ji, Shri Bhagwat Rasikdev Ji has stayed here and worshiped Shri Radha Krishn. Even today his Bhajan Kuti exists here. This place is covered with beautiful vines. Many trees of flowers and fruits are planted in different places. The chirping of many birds remains resonant in the whole environment. Peacocks roam here constantly. The mind is filled with joy by the sight and touch of the beautiful sand.
It is believed that Shri Radharani used to fill water from this stepwell and perform playful water pastimes, hence this stepwell became famous as Radha Bavdi.
This is the birthplace of Swami Shri Haridas Ji. Swami Haridas Ji stayed here for 25 years and after that, he went to Nidhivan which is around 2.5 km from Radha Bawri, where Shri Banke Bihari appeared. The first disciple of Swami Haridas Ji, the ocean of nectar Shri Vitthalvipul Dev Ji was also born in this Rajpur village itself. After this, Shri Swami Bhagwat Rasik Dev Ji, a disciple of Swami Lalit Mohinidev Ji, performed bhajan here. His Godbrother Shri Chaturdas Ji also stayed at this place. The worshipful deity of Shri Chaturdas Ji, Shri Chatur Bihari Ji is seated here.
Radha Bavdi is very deep. There are stairs to go down. There are many caves adjacent to the stepwell where the saints used to worship Shri Radharani and pray for her blessings.
