Kar Daras Na Aghaun, Baas Vrindavan Paun - Shri Lakshadas Ji (of Shuka sect.)

(Kavitt)
Kar Daras Na Aghaun, Baas Vrindavan Paun,
Kar Seva Hulasaun Jo Rekha Bhag Bhur Ki. [1]
Santan Ke Sang Katha Sudha Sravan Paan Karun,
Ye Hi Chitt Chaun Aur Batein Sab Dur Ki. [2]
Yamuna Ke Nikat Kadamb Taru Tar Lotun,
Nirakhun Kab Harashit Hvai Sobha Brajdhur Ki. [3]

- Shri Lakshadas Ji (of Shuka sect.)

May my fortune be such that I never stop yearning for Your sight, always stay in Vṛndāvan, and remain high‑spirited for Your service. [1]

May my ears always drink the nectar of Your divine glories through the association of Rasik saints. Let my heart desire only this, and stay far away from any other talks. [2]

May I roll in the sand near the Yamunā under the shade of the Kadamba in Vṛndāvan. When shall I embrace it to my heart lovingly and see the divine splendor of this sand [raj] of Braj? [3]

Śrī Lakṣyadās says: “May I always gaze at the vihāra [love‑play] of the divine couple Śrī Rādhā Kṛṣṇa. This is my only foremost desire; the rest is the wish of God, whether He wants to fulfill it or not!”. [4]
