Brahmand Ghat - Gokul Mahavan

Brahmand Ghat - Gokul Mahavan

Pastime :
Here Shri Krishn had performed a mud-eating pastime. After eating the soil, the cowherd said to Yashoda, "Mother! Your son eats the soil" then Krishn said, "No-no mother! I haven't eaten soil.

Mo Dekhati Yashoda Tere Dhota Abahi Maati Khaayi.
Ehi Sunake Uthake Ris Dhayi Baanh Pakad Lai Aayi.
Ek Kar Saun Bhuj Gaadhai Kar Ek Kar Leenhai Saanti.
Maarati Haun Tohe Abahi Kanhaiya Begi Na Ugalo Maati.
"A gopi tells Mother Yashoda that O Yashoda, your son has eaten soil, I have seen it. Hearing this, Mother Yashoda got up in anger and grabbed Shri Krishn's arm. Mother held Krishn's arm with one hand and took a stick in the other hand and told Krishn to spit out the soil from the mouth, otherwise, I will beat you."

Naham Bhakshitavanamba Sarve Mithyabhishansinah.
Yadi Satyagirastarhi Samaksham Pashya Me Mukham.
- Shrimad Bhagavatam (10.8.35)
"All these cowherds are telling lies, I can't eat soil, my mother, if you think I'm a liar, look at my mouth."

Krishn said -
Sab Larika Ab Tere Aage Jhoothi Kahat Banayi.
Mere Mukh Tu Kah Nahin Maanat Dikharaun Bayi.
Akhil Brahmand Ki Mahima Dikhrayo Mukh Maahin.
Mother Yashoda said - "Okay, show me your mouth." When Shri Krishn opened his mouth, then Yashoda saw the whole universe in the mouth of her little child. Seeing the universe, Mother Yashoda was in great astonishment, and being impressed by the opulence of the Brahmand Vihari (Lord of the universe), started considering him as God.
Now Krishn, hungry for parental love, thought that if my mother becomes aware of my opulent pastimes, then sweet pastimes filled with sweet nectar will not be possible. Therefore, He removed the opulent form from the mother's heart, and again mother Yashoda started loving him as her son, forgetting his opulent form.
This is the pastime of the Brahmand Ghat.

Location :
Brahmand Ghat is situated in Gokul Mahavan on the banks of Yamuna, 1.5 km away from Nand Bhawan.
