- Shri Raskhan, Raskhan Ratnavali

In this pada, the Gopīs mock Uddhav's counsel to adopt yogic practices for enduring separation from Śrī Kṛṣṇa. They steadfastly embrace loving devotion, dismissing external rituals as they recognize the perfection of their path.

A Braj Maiden declares, "O friend! Shall we forsake our adornments and smear ashes upon our bodies? O Sakhī, simply obey your heart—this Uddhav has lost his senses; how could he comprehend love's true path?" [1]

O Sakhi, pursue your desires later if you must, but first reflect wisely: the Enchanter Śrī Kṛṣṇa resides within our minds, and every heart remains captive to His butter-smeared Lotus Face (we tread solely the path of love). [2]
