- Shri Surdas, Sursagar
O Shyama Pyari (Radha)! You are extremely dear to Lord Krishna. He sings Your glories (all the time) while sitting, standing up, walking, and grazing cows. [1]
As your complexion is yellow, therefore Krishna wears yellow garments and applies yellow ointment on His body. Considering your face like a moon, He wears a crescent-shaped peacock feather on His forehead. [2]
Due to His intense affection, He performs various gestures to express His restlessness, and He finds peace ultimately once He meets You. In your separation, He runs towards every grove, saying “Where are you, Radha”. [3]
He makes your painting and gazes at it continuously. In this way, He removes the agony of the separation of His heart. Shri Surdas says, O, Sri Radha! Why do you separate your beloved Krishn from Yourself? [4]
