(Raag Sarang)
Jo Sukh Hot Gopalhin Gaayain.
So Na Hot Jap-Tap Ke Kinain, Kotik Teerath Nahayain. [1]
Diye Let Nahin Chaari Padarath, Charan Kamal Chit Laayain.

Surdas Hari Ko Sumiran Kari, Bahuri Na Bhavjal Aavain. [3]

- Shri Surdas, Sursagar

The happiness (bliss) which is received through singing the glories of Lord Krishna lovingly is not in doing Japa, penance, and bathing in crores of pilgrimages. [1]

Those whose minds are attached to the lotus feet of Krishna don’t accept the four treasures of this world viz. ‘Dharma’ (Vedic rituals), Arth (Wealth), Kaam (passion), and moksha (liberation), even though they are offered by the Lord. Such devotees whose minds are occupied by Lord Krishna throw away happiness obtained from three worlds like a piece of grass! [2]

They never desire to go to Vaikuntha Dham [where Lord Vishnu resides] leaving Vanshivat, Vrindavan, and the bank of Yamuna. Shri Surdas says, “O mind! Perform the devotion of Lord Krishna because by doing so, many have permanently crossed this vast ocean of the material world” [3]
