- Shri Agradas Ji (Spiritual master of Nabha Ji)

Preface: Shri Agradas Ji, pleased with the dedicated service of his disciple Shri Nabhadas Ji, directed him to compose a text containing the life stories of devotees. He granted Nabhadas Ji a special boon: "As you contemplate a devotee, they will manifest in your thoughts and share their biography." With this divine directive, Shri Nabhadas Ji began the creation of the 'Bhaktamal' book. He penned the life stories of all, but when he turned his contemplation towards the Rasik personalities of Vrindavan (such as Mahaprabhu Hita Harivansh Ji, Swami Shri Haridas Ji, etc), these Rasik devotees did not manifest in his thoughts.
Nabhadas Ji later narrated this incident to his mentor, Shri Agradas Ji, who explained, In the Manglacharan (invocation) of the Bhaktamal book, you narrated the glories of 24 incarnations of Shri Hari. Due to this, you received visions of Lord Hari's devotees in your mind. However, the Rasik saints of Vrindavan are exclusive devotees of Shri Radharani. Thus, when you contemplated them, the Rasikas did not manifest in your thoughts. First, seek the blessings of Sri Radha through the devotion of her lotus feet. Only if she blesses you will these Rasik personalities reveal themselves in your thoughts. Saying this, Shri Agradas ji gave a verse to Nabhadas ji, which is as follows -

Meaning: O Shri Radha, I bow to your lotus feet that are incredibly tender, charming, cool, full of grace, and the very essence of bliss. [1]

The contemplation of these lotus feet purifies the heart, making everything else seem insignificant. Through their touch and remembrance, misfortunes effortlessly dissolve, giving rise to happiness. [2]

Shri Krishna worships these lotus feet by adorning and serving them with His divine hands. Through the sound of her anklets, the wisdom of the ‘Nigamas’ (Vedas, Upanishads, etc.) is unveiled. Shri Agradas Ji says that the lotus feet of Shri Radharani, which are the very source of life for the Rasikas, are my sole refuge. [3]
