Salvation of Aghasura :
Amidst child Krishna's playful pastimes in Braj, his maternal uncle Kansa kept sending demons like Shaktasur, Pootna, Trinavarta, Vyomasura, Bakasura, etc. to eliminate him. There was one such demon whose name was Aghasura. He was the brother of Putna and Bakasura, who lived in the nearby 'Seva Van'. The people of Braj were greatly suffering from Aghasura. They wanted to get freedom from his tyranny, due to which even the demigods were afraid.
One day, Aghasura saw Krishna, the murderer of his sister Putana and brother Bakasura, grazing cattle with his friends in the Ajay Van forest. The flame of revenge flared up inside him. To destroy Krishna along with all the cowherd boys, Aghasura became a python 4km long and fell here. His huge body was like a mountain. He extended out his tongue, which appeared to be a road of red color, and opened his huge mouth and waited. His mouth looked like a mountain cave. When Krishna's friends saw that cave, they decided to go inside it.

All the cowherds entered that cave. Shri Krishna saw that this was Aghasura. To protect his friends, Krishna also entered the cave. Seeing everyone within himself, Aghasura closed his mouth and started crushing them. Seeing this, Shri Krishna started expanding his body and came out by tearing his head. Aghasura died on the spot. Seeing the cowherds dead, Krishna glanced at them and they came alive. A light came out from Aghasura's body and merged at the feet of Lord Mukund.
The gods in the sky started praising Shri Krishna. All the people of Braj started chanting Jay Shri Krishna, the sound of which reached Vaikuntha, and a huge pit was formed at this place which got filled with water and everyone started calling it 'Jay Kund' and this place got the name 'Jaint'.

The pastime of Kaliya serpent :
After crushing the Kaliya serpent in the Yamuna at Vrindavan, Lord Krishna, at the request of the serpent wives, did not kill him but ordered him to go away from Vrindavan. Kaliya prayed, "O Krishna, Garud Ji cannot come here due to the curse of Sage Saubhari, that is why I reside here. Now if I go out from here, Garud Ji will kill me." On this Shri Krishna said, "The mark of my feet has been imprinted on your forehead, now Garud Ji will never harm you. You go from here and do not look back. If you look back, you will turn into a rock at that very moment." Kaliya Naga started leaving Yamuna on Krishna's orders. When he came here, out of curiosity he looked back and at that very moment, he was transformed into a rock.
The residents of Braj believe that the tail of Kaliya which is now turned into rock, goes deep into the earth till Vrindavan. For centuries it has been the center of faith of saints, devotees, and Brajwasis.
