Ek Aas Ekai Biswas Pran Gahen Baas - Ghananand Granthawali, Sujan Hita (260)

(Kavitt)
Ek Aas Ekai Biswas Pran Gahen Baas,
Aur Pahchani Inhain Rahi Kaahu Saun Na Hai. [1]
Chaatik Laun Chaahi Ghananand Tihaari Or,
Aathaun Jam Naam Lai, Bisaari Dini Maun Hai. [2]
Jeevan-Adhar Jaan Suniyai Pukar Neku,
Anakani Daibo Daiya Ghay Kaiso Laun Hai. [3]
Neh-Nidhi-Pyare Gun-Bhaare Hvai Na Rukhe Hujai,
Aiso Tum Karo To Bicharan Kain Kaun Hai. [4]
- Shri Ghananand Ji, Ghananand Granthawali, Sujan Hita (260)

O beloved! The sole hope and trust of meeting You again is the only reason my soul persists within this body, for it now recognizes none other. [1]

O beloved Kṛṣṇa, dark as a rain‑laden cloud, my soul gazes upon You like the devoted Chātak bird, which thirsts for the first drops of rain; no longer silent, it calls Your name day and night, yearning for the grace of Your presence. [2]

O sole support of my life, dear beloved! Hear my call, if only for a moment — Your continued deferral, Your silence, presses upon my wounds like salt, an unbearable ache in my heart. [3]

O ocean of affection! Being full of virtues, do not become indifferent toward me; if You, my only support, turn away, then who will uphold this desolate soul? Truly, besides You, I have no other refuge. [4]
