(Kavitt)
Kantedar Karil Ke Vriksh Jis Bhoomi Par,
Deta Dikhalayi Jahan Khara Jal Koop Hai. [1]
Gari De Bolte Brajbasi Sab Aapas Mein,
Anna Phal Heen Dhara Khaadar Kuroop Hai. [2]
Paakar Ke Chhaak Chhachh Gauyen Charata Phire,
Phir Bhi Banaya Use Svarg Se Anoop Hai. [3]
Aisa Jo Manmauji Mast Thakur Triloki Ka,
Rakshak Hamara Vahi Vrindavan Bhoop Hai. [4]

The land is filled with thorny Karīla trees, and its wells hold only salty water. [1]

Where the Brajvāsīs converse with each other in abusive language, the land itself remains barren, devoid of crops and fruits, and steeped in desolation. [2]

Yet, Śrī Kṛṣṇa roams through this land, drinking buttermilk and grazing cows, transforming Vṛndāvan into a place more beautiful than heaven itself. [3]

That rapturous Lord, Śrī Kṛṣṇa, the ruler of the three worlds, is the king of Vṛndāvan and our beloved protector. [4]
