(Raag Kanharau)
Pran Diyai Yah Prem Na Paiyai,
Aisau Mahangau Ahi Sakhi Ree, Kahi Dhoon So Kaisai Kain Laiyai.
Laal-Laadilee Kau Yah Sarvasu, Tihin Ras Kau Lalachaiyai.
Adbhut Chhavi Vivi Ras Ki Dhara, ‘Dhruv’ Man Tahan Nhavaiyai.

- Shri Hita Dhruvdas, Bayalees Leela, Padyavali (98)

O dear friend! Even by offering one’s very life, this supreme love for Ladilī Lāl (Shri Radha-Krishna) is not attained. Such is the extraordinary and priceless nature of this divine love. So, O friend! You tell me—how can such love be obtained? [1]

This selfless ‘Tatsukhmaya’ (giving happiness to the beloved) love is the highest treasure and the very source of life of Sri Radha Krishn themselves. In truth, there is no method or discipline by which it can be achieved—it is only through a deep longing (lolasā) for this divine rasa that one begins to qualify. Shri Dhruv Das ji says that a seeker, therefore, must develop detachment from all else and fully immerse the mind in the wondrous stream of rasa flowing from the divine form of the Divine Couple. [2]
