O friend of the destitute, O Shri Krishna! It seems my call has not reached Your ears—for in the four ages, you have never delayed in rescuing the fallen. Had you truly heard me, surely by now you would have delivered me, as always before. Perhaps the fault lies within me—I have not yet truly recognized myself as destitute, nor cried out to You from the depths of my heart.
