(Kavitt)
Daas Kain To Raavari Ye Aas Bisvaas Driddh,
Kaun Ke Bharosain Tum Hai Udaas Rahe Maun.
Aeho Shyaam Bhaarat Pukaarat Hūn Baar-Baar,
Tārat Sune Ho Aage Kari, Kahi Dūr Gaun.
Biradain Vichaar Nirday Na Hou Hirdai Mein,
Dardai Pichhaanin Amain Baradain Na Hou Toin.
Hansi Kī Na Baat Ab To Hūn Dūbiyo Jaat,
Thāre Dekhat Kahaa Meri Naav Paar Karo Kyoon Na?
- Shri Ratan Ali
O Śyāmsundara! This servant has firm hope and trust only in You; I have no refuge except Yours. Then why do You remain silent and upset? [1]

O Lord! I am repeatedly calling out to You with deep anguish. You have always rescued the distressed the moment they cried to You — then why have You turned Your face away from me? [2]
O Lord! The Vedas, scriptures, and all saints declare that You are the shelter of the shelterless and an ocean of compassion. Please remember these divine titles of Yours and don’t be so harsh with me. Recognize my pain — no one grants blessings greater than You. [3]
This is no longer a laughing matter — I am drowning! Why do You simply stand there watching? Why don’t You help my boat cross to the shore? [4]
