(Raag Chaiti Gauri)
Jamuna-Pulin Kunj Gahbar Ki, Kokil Hvai Drum Kuk Machaun.
Pad-Pankaj Priy Laal-Madhup Hvai, Madhure-Madhure Gunj Sunaun. [1]
Kookar Hvai Ban-Veethini Dolau, Bache Seeth Rasikan Ke Khaun.
Lalitkishori Aas Yahi Mam, Brajraj Taji Chhin Anat Na Jaun. [2]
- Shri Lalit Kishori, Abhilash Madhuri, Vinay (65)
When will that blessed moment arrive when I become a cuckoo, sweetly singing from a tree in some secluded grove by the Yamunā in Vrindavan? Or, becoming a bumblebee at the lotus feet of Śrī Rādhā-Kṛṣṇa, may I softly hum sweet melodies in Their loving service? [1]
Or perhaps I may be like a dog, wandering the lanes of Vṛndāvan, surviving on the remnants of the rāsika saints. Śrī Lalitkiśorī expresses a single heartfelt desire: that never for a moment shall I leave the sacred dust of Braj. [2]
