In the kuṃja mahala (palace of the groves), the festival of Holī is in full bloom, where the eternally youthful pair, Śrī Rādhā Kṛṣṇa, are joyfully playing the Holī of divine love. The rhythms of tāla, mṛdaṅga (a double-sided drum), jhāñjha (cymbals), and ḍapha (tambourine) are being played, while heaps of abīra (scented powder) and gulāl (red powder) are being thrown by the sakhī’s.
