- Shri Vanshi Ali Ji, Varshotsav, Basant Ke Pad (15)

In the kuṃja mahala (palace of the groves), the festival of Holī is in full bloom, where the eternally youthful pair, Śrī Rādhā Kṛṣṇa, are joyfully playing the Holī of divine love. The rhythms of tāla, mṛdaṅga (a double-sided drum), jhāñjha (cymbals), and ḍapha (tambourine) are being played, while heaps of abīra (scented powder) and gulāl (red powder) are being thrown by the sakhī’s. [1]

The sakhīs dance together with rhythmic harmony, collectively singing playful and teasing songs (gārī) directed at the Beloved Śrī Lāla Jī. Śrī Vanśī Ali’s guru, Śrī Lalitā Sakhī, is laughing heartily and also bringing smiles to Her Sovereign Queen Śrī Rādhā during this celebration. [2]
