Balihari Jaun Jak Pari, Baatan Bahut Dandaut.
Palat Deh Kutumb Kon, Bhale Samajh Bhagot.

O Bihārīdāsa! The speakers of Śrīmad Bhāgavatam often speak sweet and nectarine words and repeatedly offer prostrations (daṇḍavata), yet their hidden aim is to sustain themselves and their families through the offerings they receive. In contrast, Śrī Śukadeva Jī Mahārāja, in every word of the Bhāgavatam, has taught renunciation of worldly attachments and exclusive devotion to the lotus feet of the Lord. How surprising that such speakers fail to perceive its true essence.
