The sahacarīs gazes unblinking upon the divine couple, Śrī Rādhā-Kṛṣṇa, as though she has become like a bird confined within a cage. Just as a caged bird survives only on the food and water given by its master, in the same way the sakhī sustains herself solely through Their darśana, satisfying all hunger and thirst by beholding Them, while constantly repeating the sacred Names of Śrī Priyā Jī.
