Bāṅke Bihārī says to Śrī Rādhā Rānī —
O beloved, please promise Me that You will never enter into loving sulk (māna). Do not, even in Your heart, hold māna; do not speak with a māna-filled voice, nor through Your actions frighten Me by raising Your brows. [1]
It is only because of Your māna that My heart becomes restless. O Svāminī, tell Me Yourself — how shall I endure this unbearable pain? How can I sustain this body like this?
Kuñjabihārī says to Śrī Haridāsa Jī’s Svāminī Śyāmā: “My only nourishment is the rasa of nitya-vihāra showered by You; I am forever under Your control. Even in a dream, I cannot think of causing You displeasure or quarreling with You. Therefore, please be gracious and never allow such a situation to arise where You would turn away from Me in māna.” [2]
