Beholding the love-intoxicated state of another sakhī, one sakhī says:
O sakhī! Today, you have been absorbed in only one chant. Wandering through the narrow lanes of Vṛndāvana, you keep crying out, ‘Buy Govinda! Someone, please buy Govinda!” [1]
The very moment You beheld dark-hued Śyāmasundara wrapped in His beautiful yellow garments, You completely forgot even the name of curd. Instead of calling out to sell yogurt, You began chanting the Name of Your beloved Govinda alone. Śrī Caturbhuja Dāsa says that the playful Giridhārīlāla, who stood upon the path demanding toll, cast such a spell through His enchanting beauty that You lost all awareness of Yourself. [2]
