- Shri Yugal Priya

O Lord, You fully understand the suffering of helpless and shelterless souls. [1]

I stand at Your doorway calling out to You, yet even after hearing my cries, You remain silent. Have You become displeased after seeing the faults within my heart, or do You think I have come to You with selfish intentions? [2]

You are called “Dīnabandhu,” the friend of the fallen, and the fulfiller of every heartfelt longing. Then why do You now look at my faults and virtues? You alone are the savior, while souls like me who are fallen are countless. Does this make You hesitate, wondering how many You must deliver? [3]

If You do not bestow Your mercy, then I shall think that You have falsely accepted titles such as “Patitapāvana,” the deliverer of the fallen. O my beloved Manmohana! Abandon this obstinacy now and grant Your servant, Jugalpriyā, the nectar of Your divine love. [4]
