Through the power of pure love alone, the maidens of Braja have brought Manmohana, Śrī Kṛṣṇa, entirely under their control. For this reason, the mode of love practiced in Braja is unique and unparalleled in the entire universe. [1]
That Supreme Lord, whose māyā has made the entire world dance under its influence, is made to dance upon the fingertips of those cowherd maidens for a small bowl of buttermilk. [2]
The sacred dust of whose lotus feet is extremely difficult to attain even for Brahmā, Śiva, and the sages headed by Sanaka—that very dust is swept from the courtyards and pathways of Vraja by its women. [3]
Śrī Sūradāsa Madanamohana says, “How much can I possibly describe the glories of the maidens of Braja with my limited intelligence, whose very life and soul is Śrī Hari Himself? Their glory is completely beyond the reach of words.” [4]
